With short path distillation, a substantial decrease of boiling temperature is obtained by reducing the operating pressure. The VTA Pilot short path distillers are set up as modules and used to separate small product quantities that will enable a later scale up to industrial systems. The evaporator has an achievable operating pressure down to 0.001mbar. It can process a material with a maximum viscosity of 15,000 mPas (cP) at operating temperature.
The VTA Pilot short path distillers are suitable for generating scalable data for industrial systems, producing certain sample quantities and optimization of existing process like concentration, fractionation, distillation, purification and drying.
