Short path evaporators

With short path distillation, a substantial decrease of boiling temperature is obtained by reducing the operating pressure. It is a continuous process with very short residence time.

Evaporation at low operating pressure with very gentle distillation

The special design of short path evaporators by VTA allows operating pressures down to 0.001 mbar. The very low operating pressures ensure very low distillation temperatures and therefore a very gentle distillation is possible. The short path distillation allows the thermal separation of high molecular and high-boiling products.

Thanks to short residence time, low evaporation temperature and the immediate cooling of the concentrate, thermal stress and decomposition of the product can be minimized.

Suitable for concentration, fractionation, distillation, purification and drying of heat sensitive products and high boiling point components.
