Industrial food processes that involve heat processing of ingredients often require specialist cooling to provide maximum product quality. Processes that involve cooking, roasting, or melting of ingredients may require a cooling period afterwards before other stages of production can continue. Some ingredients require higher temperatures for handling or forming and then need cooling in order to solidify or return to the desired viscous state. A variety of cooling methods can be used, including forced air, chilling, and ambient mixing, and these methods can use belts, drums, cabinets and other enclosures to maintain cooling performance.
