Enrobing machines are designed to coat confectionery or bakery items in a liquid medium, most commonly chocolate, which then cools to form a layer that encapsulates the food product. This is the volume production method to replicate traditional hand-dipping. Enrobing equipment can be used to completely coat the product including the underside, or just to enrobe the top or sides, depending on the product design and recipe.

Technology to meet all food enrobing challenges

Vekamaf’s engineers have wide experience in enrobing and coating technologies. We offer access to continuous chocolate enrobers to suit all scales of production, from the largest multi-tonne lines through to small scale, high quality niche production.

For pilot lines or smaller production requirements we can provide a range of combined tempering and enrobing machines offering excellent efficiency and low wastage for low production volume requirements.

For speciality and non-chocolate enrobing we can advise on equipment for coating with viscous liquids such as caramels, or speciality uses such as coatings for frozen or chilled products like ice creams or cakes. We can also provide high quality machinery for enrobing truffles and other confectionary to improve efficiencies in batch production.
