Technology for separation in the pharmaceutical industry

Quality of input media is vital, and at Vekamaf we can advise on a range of equipment designed to remove contaminants and increase quality. We have a series of products designed to separate solids from a liquid slurry or suspension including vacuum belt filters and vacuum drum filters, as well as specialist process equipment such as our Nutsche filter, used for batch filtration of liquids with high solids content, especially when those solids are being recovered to undergo sophisticated treatments afterwards.

We have a range of specialist equipment to suit specific industries. For example, our disposable monolithic columns for working with large proteins, viruses, VLPs and pDNA have the structural integrity and leachable profile of medical grade stainless steel, but the process economics of a single or multi-use device.

Our engineers have extensive knowledge of equipment for processing raw ingredients to extract oils or other compounds using a range of evaporation, distillation and concentration plants. As well as production scale equipment, we can advise on the commissioning of pilot plants for these processes, allowing you to test and upscale to full production more efficiently.
