Process | Machines & Equipment | Pharmaceutical

Pharmaceutical processing machines and equipment transform inputs for use as excipients or as constituent ingredients in the drug development process. Processing machinery can use physical processes, such as grinding, granulating, extruding, and shredding, or chemical processes such as extraction, evaporation, and concentration.

Other pharmaceutical processing equipment is used to treat compounds using processes like dehumidifying and drying, and mixing and homogenizing. Finally, machines are required for the movement and packing of pharmaceutical products and include filling, bagging, packing, pumping and control valves.

We have experience advising on pharmaceutical processing equipment and applications across a wide range of industry sectors. We work with our clients to fully understand their specific requirements so that we can give impartial advice on the best technology for your application, selecting the best supplier, and ensuring the seamless integration of new equipment into your process unit. Our goal is to make the latest pharmaceutical process technology easily accessible to our clients.

Technology for pharmaceutical processing, preparation and packaging

We can advise on a large variety of physical pharmaceutical preparation machinery, including mills and crushing equipment, mixers and homogenizers, grinders and emulsifiers. We can support all scales of production from laboratory scale for R&D and small batch processing up to full scale 24/7 high volume lines.

For drying, we can advise on a range of dehumidifiers to suit all environments and pharmaceutical processes, including specialist machines for difficult wet airflows. For media drying, our range of vacuum dryers includes belt and drum solutions, and a range of fluid bed and paddle drying equipment. We also offer laboratory and production scale freeze dryers. We can supply specialist dryers for specific industries, for example our cabinet dryer for cannabis offers rapid, gentle drying of cannabis buds and other delicate botanicals using less energy.

Our engineers can assist with pharmaceutical filling, packing and logistics solutions. We offer a range of specialist filling machines for syringes, vials, ampoules and bottles, as well as for filling capsules. We also offer specialist machinery for specific sectors, for example our sterile filling line for opthalmics. For bulk producers of dry powders, we can advise on vacuum conveyors and appropriate valving, including FDA and EMA approved hygienic components, as well as a wide range of bagging and packing machinery including low dust and big bag solutions.

Our engineers can also advise on a range of extraction and concentration processes including distilling and evaporation, and we can provide pilot plants for these processes to allow you to accurately test and assess before scaling up to full production.

Finally, we have a range of products specifically for the handling of dangerous, toxic or sensitive compounds across process units, as well as complete biosafety and air treatment systems.

We strive to be an inspiring conversation partner for our clients and we are continuously on the lookout to spot new trends and innovations. We work closely with a select network of international partners. Our engineers are periodically trained in pharmaceutical process technologies. We help production facilities to improve the quality of their production, as well as increase the flexibility and efficiency of their lines. We look forward to learning more about your challenge so that we can connect you with the right expert!
